Wait, tell me more about the Dungeons and Dragons thing.

This novel wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for the Heroes and Villains comic book store in Tucson, and all of the incredible people who played D&D there every Wednesday evening.

Altrameda was a Tempest Cleric in the Tyranny of Dragons campaign. You know how they do things - cast Thunderwave, use Channel Divinity: Destructive Wrath, then heal up the unfortunate melee party members while insisting it was the right call.

After the campaign ended, Grey decided Altrameda needed a story of her own.
